How many people use Microsofts instant messaging program now called Windows Live Messenger? It is one of the most used IM programs in the world.
It gived me many headaches in the last 10 years since i have been using it. What bothers me now is that it still causes me pain and anxiety many, many times for reasons that might seem stupid.
Today i invited a friend on msn and guess what? It caused me pain again . Why?? Because it showed up its stupidity again in all its splendor.
In Live Messenger you can ad your friends adress in the window but you can´t name your friend or that person. How stupid is that??
You would think that Windows Live Messenger had that option. That the people at Microsoft are using thease programs and see what is missing and how to make the users experience more pleasant. Like many other Microsoft products WLM lacs something very important called ¨good sence¨or global vision. Although it has many usefull features and it is widely used, WLM demonstrates to me that Microsoft is not botherd by competition. Nevertheles it needs to move its big fat ass and start building something that looks nice and works flawlesly.
I don´t understand how in the 21 century a company can create bad products and still be in business. Beeing a monopoly does help though.
